Unmistakeable Beauty!
A mineral called Granada gives a reddish hue
to the sand. The water is usually transparent,
and a wide variety of marine life can be seen
amongst the rocky platforms at each end of
the beach. Here, all roads lead to nature.
History
The rocky cliffs around the beach create
a natural acoustic shell. It derives its
name (Oven Beach), from the fact that the
reddish sand and rocks create high temperatures
on the beach when one is out of the water.
How to Get There
Situated between the Praias de Olho de Boi
and Foca. At the Ale Service Station, near
the town centre, turn right and go straight
ahead for 400 mts.
