Sant'Ana Church

A strikingly beautiful building which is an important part of the town’s local heritage. The church was founded in 1740, and is considered to be the first symbol of Christianity erected by the local residents.

The church’s simple beauty, and 16th. Century architectural style, makes it a major attraction for tourists.

It has a privileged location on a hill top between Ossos and Armação Beaches, with a view to the Yacht Club in front. Behind the chapel is Búzios’ only cemetery.
