Serra
das Emerências
A wildlife conservation
area.
These
hills are home to rare examples of flora and
fauna, typical of Brazil’s Atlantic
forests. Here one can still find the almost
extinct Golden Lion Tamarin monkey, and also
examples of the original Brazil wood tree.
This hilly region is forested in places, with
pre-Cambrian species of trees and cacti. In
more protected areas, where the sandy soils
are more stable, dense thickets of trees and
bushes are common.
In the face of such natural beauty, we can
only admire it, and perhaps hire a qualified
Embratur
to show us around.
