Ilhas Close to Búzios

The islands around the peninsula reflect Búzios’ energy and vitality. Neatly integrated with the landscape and in natural harmony with the area, the islands complement its eco-system, and provide an even greater variety of fauna.

By taking a very enjoyable boat ride, you can visit the islands of Âncora, Branca, Caboclo, Feia, Rasa and Gravatás. Ideal for those who enjoy diving or fishing.

Ilha Feia
A favourite attraction for schooner boat passengers. Uninhabited and with lovely beaches, it is one of the main sights on the left side of the peninsula. It received its name ‘’ Ugly Island’’ , because it was first discovered from its bleak and barren side which lacks vegetation.

Ilha dos Gravatás
Can be seen from Geribá Beach. Ideal for diving.

Ilha Rasa
A private island which can be seen from close-up on schooner trips. Named becase of its proximity to Rasa Beach.

Ilha do Caboclo
A small island near to the pier in the town centre. Perfect for the amateur fisherman.

Ilha da Âncora
Popular with professional divers.

Ilha Branca
Near to João Fernandes Beach. Schooner boats pass close to this island, which is named after its light coloured rocks and cliffs
