This interesting small chapel was built on
to the Santa Rita Church in 2001.
The miracles of María Desatadora Dos
Nòs began in Germany in 1700 and soon
became known internationally. The chapel in
Búzios was officially blessed by Pope
John Paul II upon its inauguration on 8th.
September 2001. An interesting detail is that
instead of benches and pews, the chapel is
equipped with 33 chairs, representing the
age of Christ upon his crucifixion.
